It’s no coincidence that along with Valentine’s Day, February is National Pet Dental Health Month! So get your pet over to your Veterinarian so he/she can get his/her mouth all minty fresh and ready for Valentine’s Day smooches!
In conjunction with National Pet Dental Health Month, many Veterinarian’s offices offer discounted rates for dental cleaning during the month of February.
VPI (Veterinary Pet Insurance) lists three simple steps to dental care for your pets:
1. Take your pet to the vet for a routine examination including teeth and gums – at least once a year.
2. Ask your vet about nutritional supplements and food formulated to help with plaque and tarter.
3. Schedule regular dental cleanings and ask your vet about teeth brushing.
